How to use poultry shrink bags?

There are many ways to process your poultry, two good options are:

OPTION A we will pierce a small pin hole in the bag and OPTION B we will use a small hose or solid straw (Not included) to let the air escape. let's start with OPTION A "The pin hole method".

Check out OPTION A on YouTube https://youtu.be/gWaPPemvsso

A.1 In a large pot, bring water to +/- 190 degrees Fahrenheit. (180 degrees for Turkey Bags)

A.2 After dressing your Turkey, make sure you drain it as well as possible.

A.3 Place bird, head first into the bag.

A.4 Push the air out. We do this by giving the bird a "hug."

A.5 Twist the open end shut (make a pigtail) and secure with a zip tie.

A.6 In the section of the Turkey between the top of breast, pierce a small hole. Doing this will ensure that air can escape.

A.7 Then, dip the bag into the heated water (190 F or 180 F for Turkey Bags) for 2 to 3 seconds. Dip again if needed. (Don't dip too long water will enter the bag through the small pin hole)

A.8 Then dry of with a towel and if desired place a product label over the small pin hole. THE END

Next is OPTION B, no piercing here!

B.1 In a large pot, bring water to +/- 190 degrees F. (180 degrees for Turkey Bags)

B.2 After dressing your Turkey, make sure you drain it as well as possible.

B.3 Place bird, head first into the bag.

B.4 Push the air out. We do this by giving the bird a "hug."

B.5 Place a small hose of solid straw

B.6 Twist the open end shut (make a pigtail) with the small hose or straw sticking out and secure with a zip tie.

B.7 Dip the bird into the heated water (190 F or 180 F for Turkey Bags) for 2 to 3 seconds. Dip again if needed.

B.8 Remove the hose or straw and re-tighten the zip tie.

B.9 Then dry of with a towel and if desired place your product label.
